Vectorform creates first third-party application for the SMART Table
Multiple choice application enables collaboration for early education learners
CALGARY, Alberta --- November 19, 2009 --- SMART Technologies and Vectorform announce the release of Image Reveal, the first third-party application developed for the SMART Table interactive learning center. The SMART Table was introduced as the world’s first multitouch, multiuser interactive learning center for early education in October 2008 and, until now, all learning applications for the table have been designed by SMART. As a global leader in the creation of interactive and multitouch activities, and in multitouch computing in education, Vectorform was contracted by SMART to develop content for the SMART Table. The resulting software, Image Reveal, is a collaborative learning application designed for primary students. Image Reveal is compatible with the Microsoft® Windows® platform and is currently available for existing table users to download at no cost at the Image Reveal application page.
Vectorform was eager to collaborate with SMART to create an early learning application for the SMART Table, which it feels is a groundbreaking technology product. Image Reveal enables young users to collaborate and answer a series of multiple choice questions in a chosen subject area. Each correct answer uncovers part of a hidden image until it is fully visible. Alternatively, students can guess what the hidden image is at any time to win the game. Using the SMART Table Toolkit, teachers can customize content, including subject area, hidden image, questions and answers, and use images to tailor questions and answers for pre-literate learners.
